6ος Αγώνας Παρατήρησης Πουλιών στη Βόρεια Ελλάδα - 6th Birdrace in North Greece

Ο αγώνας πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 12/12/2009. στη Σημαντική Περιοχή για τα Πουλιά GR020 της λίμνης Κερκίνης Συμμετείχαν 6 ομάδες και 23 άτομα συνολικά.
Η διάρκεια του αγώνα σύμφωνα με τον κανονισμό ήταν από τις 05:30 το πρωί έως και τις 16:30 το απόγευμα.
Διανύθηκαν συνολικά 540km (70-115 Km ανά ομάδα). Κάποιες από τις περιοχές που επισκέφτηκαν οι ομάδες ήταν ο Λιθότοπος, το Μαντράκι, το Ανάχωμα, οι όχθες του Στρυμόνα και το Δέλτα.
Καταγράφηκαν 107 διαφορετικά είδη πουλιών .Η ομάδα τα «Κρασοπούλια» και η ομάδα τα «Birds out of Limits» μοιράστηκαν την πρώτη θέση καταγράφοντας καθεμιά 83 είδη.
Ως το πιο σπάνιο είδος ανακηρύχθηκε ο Χηνοπρίστης (Mergus merganser) και νικητής στην κατηγορία αυτή είναι τα «Κρασοπούλια».
Αλλά σημαντικά είδη που παρατηρήθηκαν ήταν Νανόκυκνος (Cygnus columbianus), Μαυροπελαργός (Ciconia nigra), Πράσινος Δρυοκολάπτης (Picus viridis) και Διπλοκεφαλάς (Lanius excubitor).

The Birdrace took place on 12/12/2009 in Important Bird Area of Lake GR020 Kerkini. 6 teams participated and 23 people overall.
The duration of the Birdrace in accordance with Regulation was from 05:30 hrs to 16:30 in the afternoon.
Spent a total of 540km (70-115 Km / group). Some of the areas visited by the teams was Lithotopos, Mantraki , the banks of the Strymonas and the Delta.
Recorded 107 different bird species. The team of "Krasopoulia" and the group «Birds out of Limits» shared first place each recording 83 species.
As the most rare type was declared the Goosander (Mergus merganser) and the winner in this category are "Krasopoulia.
Other important species observed were Bewick's Swan (Cygnus columbianus), Black Stork (Ciconia nigra), Green Woodpecker (Picus viridis) and Great Grey Shrike(Lanius excubitor).
